The Enterprise Development Difference

The Enterprise Development Difference

post3.001

Enterprise development is a product of B-BBEE to ensure that black businesses get the necessary support and funding to enable growth. Apart from this, the intention from government is clear as they have set up several support structures, amongst other:

There is also programmes that drives growth in this sector:

But why do I get involved in enterprise development?

Township and Rural Entrepreneurship Programme
Small Enterprise Manufacturing Support Programme
Business viability programme

All of these are great, make an impact, and ensure that there is an opportunity to the youth as well
as new business in general.

It is a very simple theory. Large corporate, listed companies and the likes are growing at a slower rate than required to get our country’s economy growing sufficiently. Jobs are being shed and the population is growing. The only to sufficiently grow the economy is from the bottom up. Smaller businesses create jobs, albeit at a smaller scale, but at a lower cost per person.
Each job in a township feed between 5 and 10 people statistically, thus decreasing hunger and through that, hopefully, decreasing crime as well. To me, this is a no-brainer, irrespective of B-BBEE. It helps that we get B-BBEE points and the potential market value as well.
